Areas of the Library


Circulation Desk

1.  Circulation desk (front of library)

  •     Check out and return books
  •     Access textbooks from course reserves collection
  •     Request use of study room

2. Computers (middle of library)

  • Time limit of one hour — may be renewed if no one is waiting
  • Printing costs $.10/page; buy printer card from vending machine near computers

3. Photocopiers (in Copy Machines room on left side of library)

    • Use cash only — printer cards will not work
    • Black & white copies are $.10 & $.20 per page; color copies are $.20 & $.30 per page
    • Can print jpeg & pdf documents from USB drives

4.  Study rooms (along left and right sides of library)

  • Available for group study
  • Limit of two hours when others are waiting
  • Go to circulation desk to ask for room

5. Reference desk (middle of library)

    • Ask librarians for help with finding information and using library resources
    • Return Library Research Consultation form here to request private session with librarian for help with research papers

6.  Reference books (middle of library)

    • Encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other books that contain basic, authoritative information
    • Must be used within the library but sections can be photocopied

  • Books that you can take home with you
  • Check out at the circulation desk
  • Located at the back of the library, except for fiction and ESL which are at the front

8.  Audiovisual counter (middle of library on left side)

    • View movies or other materials that teachers have assigned
    • Movies & CDs must be used within the library

9.  Periodicals room (area located to right of exit gate)

  • Popular and scholarly publications in paper format
  • Must be used within the library but pages can be photocopied
